Programs and Communication Committee

Golf Committee

Membership and Member Engagement Committee

Increase IREM 16 membership through identification and cultivation of new prospects. To encourage qualified individuals to apply for membership as a CPM, CPM candidate, ARM candidate, Associate member, or an Accredited Commercial Manager. To support all candidates to accomplish the appropriate designations they desire. To enhance value to their selves, their companies and the properties they manage. Ensure that new members are welcomed and mentored to continue to increase their personal and professional growth and industry knowledge. Last of all, to foster a sense of belonging to the IREM community.
IREM Bucks Committee

To provide an effective incentive program for members of Chapter 16, which will promote and encourage active engagement throughout the year, plan and purchase gifts for the annual IREM Bucks auction held at the holiday event.
Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The IREM Maryland Chapter 16 recognizes that there is strength in diversity and is committed to cultivating and promoting a culture where differences are celebrated. We are committed to ensuring that members, industry partners, staff, and guests are valued, respected, and provided access to opportunities regardless of race, age, gender identities, sexual orientation, creed, national origin and/or (dis)abilities. Discrimination and inequality are not acceptable; therefore, we encourage all members to listen and learn as we take this journey together and provide ongoing support to disassemble systemic discrimination.
Professional Outreach Committee
Committee Chair: Vacant – need a volunteer to lead this committee
Open to members
Increase corporate awareness of IREM and the value of IREM credentials through an active Corporate Outreach program. Grow our student membership by a minimum of 5 and increase community awareness of IREM and the benefits of membership by strengthening our existing relationship with The University of Baltimore and creating new partnerships with other real estate affiliated programs, universities and professional organizations.
Community Relations Committee

Plan charity events and drives to give back to the community, such as toy drives, food drives and volunteer days.
REstart Committee
Committee Chairs: Jen Coco and Caitlin Strum

REstart provides situationally disadvantaged individuals with an empowering new start in life through education
and career opportunities in real estate management, while directly addressing the shortage of property
management professionals. REstart is a 12-week property management training program. The first 6 weeks are in the classroom and the second six weeks is a paid internship. Volunteers can be mentors, facilitators, teacher assistants etc. We also need property management companies to offer internships for the 2023 program.
